Look closely — clues hide in sculptures, sidewalks, and street signs all over downtown.

Solve trivia, spot hidden objects, or match the art. Stuck? You get 3 hints per mission.

Complete them in any order. Difficulty rises as you go. The garden mission requires your location — and your nerve.
A white relay box sits in the open. Find it and report the number painted on its face.
Two bronze lizards hide underfoot downtown. Describe where each one lives.
A mounted longhorn keeps watch just behind a door in the District Exchange stairwell. Find it and snap a photo as proof.
A brass eagle mailbox is mounted on a brick wall downtown. Find it and submit a photo as proof.
Horseshoes are embedded in a sidewalk honoring the old days of horse and buggy. Find them and count how many there are.
A weathered stone marks the original surveyor's corner, with a bronze plaque set beside it. Find both and report what they tell you.
What color are the exit signs on the courthouse? Visible from outside — no need to go in.
Union Street's sidewalk hides more than one broken pattern. Count every diamond brick inset you can find.
An old post stands watch with pipes jutting up behind it. Count what you see — above and below.
Light posts numbered 499090 and 499091 stand side by side downtown. Find that pair, stand between them, and report what else you see.
Four sculptures. Four nameplates. HQ's files got scrambled in transit — match each plaque to the piece it belongs to.
Enter the Memorial Garden. Find the bronze dial. Decipher the time — and beware: the garden is rigged.
A hidden sign waits down a back alley near Union St N. Find it and report its shape and color.
A wooden trinket box sits near the garden, close to where teas are served. Find it and count the syllables in the business name beside it.
Find the What-A-Burger sign downtown. Look closely at the burger — is the tomato on top of the onion, or under it?
Find the Rotary Clock downtown. Read the sign beside it and report what it's really talking about.
Find the Union-Market Passageway. Notice the large metal historical art panels hanging along one side of the alley.
Is there a fountain in town? Find it, then read the plaque beside it and report what it recognizes.
Three padlocks hang in the walkway between Union St and Church St, alongside the courthouse — the three you need are hung higher than all the rest. Find all three and report the 4-digit number on each.
Go to the four-pillared lighted area next to Two Scoops Creamery. Count every light string you see.
Find the porch with this hexagon-tile diamond pattern and count how many appear across it.
A large flag marks the entrance to downtown on Church St. Find it, then look down Cabarrus Ave and count the bracket signs.
There are 18 stars on a large pale blue wall downtown. Find them, then find the flag pole nearby and report its dedication year.
A monument near the government buildings honors fallen responders. Find it and report what's engraved.
Find the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights in the Historic Downtown.
Tucked in the bushes against a brick building, an old Exxon gas pump has been keeping time since gas was cheap. Find it and report the price frozen on its face.
A bronze plaque set flush in the sidewalk marks where the city buried a piece of its own history. Find it and report the year sealed inside.
A plaque mounted above a sealed metal door promises a future agent will open what's hidden behind it. Find it and report the year it's set to open.
Find the cannon on Union St, near the big church. Report which country donated it and how many seats it has.
Find the Old Courthouse Theatre. Count the lanterns and report how many there are.
A white postal relay box stands against a brick wall downtown. Agents have used it for dead drops for years. Find it and report the number stenciled near the top.
Two bronze lizards went to ground downtown years ago, sunk flat into the pavement where old paths cross near the courthouse. They don't move — but carry your signal close enough and HQ will feel it the moment you're standing over one. Follow the streets that meet at that corner, keep your eyes down, and let your device do the rest. Both plates count — find them in whatever order you like.

Black light posts are scattered throughout downtown, each with a small numbered plate at its base. Find the pair numbered 499090 and 499091 — they sit right beside each other. Stand exactly between them and report the separate number you can see from that spot.
Horseshoes are embedded in the sidewalk in an area honoring the old days of horse and buggy. Find them and count how many there are.
Look at the courthouse from outside — no need to go in. What color are its exit signs?
Somewhere along Union Street, the herringbone sidewalk breaks pattern — a diamond-shaped brick inset, bordered in light gray. HQ has spotted more than one. Count every diamond inset you can find.
Inside the District Exchange stairwell, past a blue mural/maze-wall room, a mounted longhorn steer head keeps watch just behind a door. Find it and submit a photo of the steer or the mural wall as proof.
Four sculptures stand watch over downtown. HQ's nameplate files got scrambled in transit — tap a plaque, then tap the sculpture you believe it belongs to. Look around downtown for clues.
Enter the Memorial Garden near Spring St SW. Somewhere among the flowers, a bronze dial has kept time for decades. Find it. Read the shadow. And remember what the French says — it matters.

A brass eagle is mounted on an old mailbox fixed to a brick wall downtown. Find it, submit a photo as proof, and name the church directly across the street.

Down a back alley off Cabarrus Ave or Union St N, a hidden sign marks a platform that shouldn't exist. Find it and report its shape and its color.
A small wooden trinket box waits near the Memorial Garden, close to where the teas are served. Find it, then read the sign of the business right beside it — and report how many syllables are in that business's name.
Find the What-A-Burger sign downtown. Look closely at the cartoon burger painted on it — is the tomato on top of the onion, or under it?
Find the Rotary Clock downtown. There's a sign posted right beside it — read it and report the one word it's really all about.
Find the Union-Market Passageway — a narrow brick alley marked by an iron sign overhead. Notice the large metal historical Art Panels hanging along one side of the alley from end to end and report the total.
Is there a fountain in town? Find it, then read the plaque set beside it — the DAR Historic Memorial Fountain Restoration was recognized for one specific thing. Report exactly what it says, spelled correctly.
